How do I maintain my certification?
If you've earned a CR certification, you are enough of a professional to know that the medical field is constantly changing. A CR certification isn't just a piece of paper, but a commitment to continued learning in your field. This page has everything you need to know to maintain your certification(s).
Maintaining Certifications Compliance Resources certifications are renewed every other year, but certain requirements are fulfilled each year. In order to maintain your certification the following is required each year before January 31st.
CR will not be responsible for keeping/retrieving partial CEU reporting forms or CEU Reporting Forms submitted throughout the year unless specifically requested by CR.
Please note that CR no longer requires certified individuals to submit copies of CEU certificates. Please retain all CEU documentation for your records, as CR will be randomly auditing certified individuals to maintain the integrity of the certifications.
Where do I get CEU's?To maintain accreditation as a CHCC, CHCO, or CHAP, Compliance Resources requires the completion of 48 CEU's every other year.
You can earn CEU's the following ways:
Taking the CHCC or CHCO course and exam fulfills the current year CHCC/CHCO requirement.
Compliance Resources will accept pre-approved compliance related CEUs from these approved organizations.
Name of Seminar or workshop with copies of the agenda and course objectives.
Name and credentials of speaker or sponsoring organization as applicable.
Number of hours spent in actual compliance instruction. Do not include time for registration, meals, or breaks.
Teaching/Presenting: 1 hour of teaching/presenting equals 1 CEU - maximum of 8 CEUs per year.
Professional Teacher/Professor:Submit your hours and a class listing. No maximum amount of CEUs earned this way per year.
Written/Published articles - 1 CEU per article (The article MUST be submitted with your CEU form.)
All CEUs obtained throughout the two year period must be received by January 31st of the year your certification needs to be renewed.

For DUAL certifications (CHCC & CHCO or CHCC/CHCO & CHAP) the following is required:
Earn 30 CEUs each year
12 CEUs must be audit oriented
Your total fee is still only $75
For TRIPLE certifications (CHCO, CHCC, and CHAP) the following is required.
